Protocol for our house of God (in person)

We are excited to offer in-person worship! Due to the Covid pandemic, at this time, we are limited to 155 in the sanctuary. It is necessary for you to use the signupgenuis reservation system to save your spot.

Covid Protocols   Effective September 23, 2021

All hymnals have been removed, and the registration books are not distributed.  Attendance is taken at the registration table.  The water fountains have now been opened

Hand sanitizer machines have been purchased for all rooms and buildings.  There is a sign on the Hand Sanitizer that indicates no handshaking.  We have dropped for the foreseeable future the “Welcome Time” in which we shook hands and hugged each other.

Sanitizing wipes will be available to be used before and after all building use.

Worship:

Parking will not change however everyone should consider social distancing when exiting their vehicles to enter church.

Access into the building will be the right-hand door off of the patio.  The outer door and door in the Narthex into the Sanctuary will be propped open so no one needs to either touch them or clean them.  Divided aisles for one-way entry, but exit can be by any door.

We strongly encourage reservations online or by phone.  This helps us record everybody’s attendance so that if we find someone has attended who has the virus, we can contact all present and let them know.  If someone arrives without reservations, we currently can accommodate them because we are not near our attendance cap.

Seating is by socially distanced rows in the back 4 rows and open seating in the front 4 rows.  People as they enter can make their most comfortable choice and find a seat as directed by the ushers.

Egress from the building will be through whatever door one chooses.  The kitchen may also be used.  Gathering for conversation will be on the Patio.

We have returned to using bulletins.  The liturgy will be on the screens and by verbal announcement.  Communion elements on Communion Sundays can be received by “sealed communion kits” that include the wafer and a small cup of grape juice, or by intinction.  Servers will be gloved and masked.

A locked box will be set up just inside the sanctuary for people to drop their offerings in as they enter or exit. The organ, piano, microphones etc. will be fog sanitized before the service.

Sunday School Spaces:

Hand sanitizer machines have been purchased and are available for all rooms.  The rooms will be “fog sanitized” after every use.

Small Group meetings:

The rooms will be sanitized by fogger before and after each meeting by the custodian.

Signs of the 11 common Covid-19 symptoms will be posted in each room.

On Sunday, please sign in before entering the sanctuary.

We look forward to worshipping with you!
