After a time of consultation and prayer, Bishop Carlo A. Rapanut intends to appoint Rev. Mary Dotson as pastor at Vista de la Montaña United Methodist Church, effective, July 1, 2024. Rev. Dotson currently serves as the pastor of Green Valley United Methodist Church in Henderson, Nevada. 

Rev. Dotson is a gifted pastoral leader, preacher, and administrator who will walk alongside you on the road you are walking together. Grounded by her deep faith in Jesus Christ, she is a caring listener who will build strong relationships with people throughout the congregation and will support the ministry teams who do such great work at the church and in the community. I am confident that you will be blessed by her leadership, wisdom, and pastor’s heart as you work together to address challenges and work towards a vital future as a congregation. 

The Bishop and Cabinet are praying for you and your interim pastor, Rev. Dr. Deborah Christine, in the months ahead as you prepare for Rev. Dotson’s arrival. May you know the peace and joy of Jesus Christ during this time of transition in the life of Vista de la Montaña United Methodist Church.
